Servo Artpack guides the customer through the whole process of packaging development, towards customised solutions tailored to a specific market and product. Our company has also gained a strong expertise in different printing techniques, often involving ecological water-based inks.
Our quest for sustainable packaging has driven us to successfully develop greener solutions: our research and innovation team’s main goal is the development of renewable and recyclable materials, for a better future.
Moreover, thanks to a large production capacity, we are able to fill all orders, big and small, guaranteeing full flexibility and support.
Our strength is represented by solid long-term partnerships, the key to the successful introduction of new packaging designs.
With “mono” we either mean a single-layer film and a multiple layer laminate made of more layers belonging to the same plastic family. We aim for mono-laminates with a good printability, machinability and barrier-properties, avoiding different families of plastic.
The single-layer version can be a mono-PE, surface printed, often used for deep-frozen products. It can also be a Mono PP single layer, category frequently used for pillowbags or flow-packs.
The mono-multilayers, instead, have become popular today hence the focus on optimising recyclability.
Flexible packaging material needs 3 important properties: good printing, the right barrier and excellent machinability. However, requirements may be multiple and can be achieved using different types of plastic, making a complex laminate.
We have different materials available, including PP, PE, PET, ALU, OPA, Paper. We evaluate the product to be packed, including its shelf-life and the required barrier. Then, among other aspects, we consider the type of sealing, the ease of opening, marketing legislations and the best printing technique.
All this working with our customers to improve sustainability.
We will guide you through the selection of the right lidding film analysing, first of all, the type of bottom-film or tray to which the film will be sealed and considering easy-opening applications. As regards reclosure, we will choose the right properties together.
The materials available for your lidding film include PP, PE, PET, OPA, Paper.
In essence, our lidding film will be optimized according to your requirements and to the product to be packed, which can include wraps, tortillas, pancakes, cheese, meat, poultry, fish or shellfish and fruit.
Servo Artpack provides a complete service by offering thermoforming films from reel, for vacuum, MAP and microwaveable. We also produce thermoforming bottom film in combination with lidding material, suitable, for example, for tortillas, wraps and pancakes. Usual characteristics are high gloss and transparence, excellent puncture resistance, EVOH as possible barrier and easy-opening either in the bottom-film (or tray) or in the lidding.
For microwaveable applications we apply PP-based solutions which can easily be transformed to a tray by thermoforming, also with EVOH barrier if needed. Also for this kind of products, we work with our customers to find solutions to improve recyclability.
This is the ideal solution for products that need sterilisation or pasteurization processes after packing and that will have a long shelf life. We propose several types of retortable laminates, also with ALU-barrier, able to keep your products fresh for a long time.
For the sealing layer we can use PP CAST, which enables good sealing properties, suitable for high temperatures during the sterilisation process. We can also add a nylon layer to improve the mechanical strength.
Our sterilisable laminates are provided in reels or in pre-made bags according to your specifications. Meat, soups, sauces, ready meals and applications like lidding materials for trays and cooking bags for ham can benefit from this type of packaging.
A solution for fresh vegetables and meat that prevents fog and keeps the film transparent, improving freshness and shelf-life.
Anti-fog materials include mono and multilayers in PP, PE, PET or PLA, with coextruded antifog additives guaranteed for 12 months. Paper laminates or special tactile lacquers are available, as well as Anti-fog surface lacquer for smaller quantities.
Moreover, we offer heat and laser perforation patterns with micro and macro hole diameters. Creating the ideal modified atmosphere packaging system results in an extension the shelf life of fresh products and reduce wastage caused by bruising or dropping.
We offer a wide range of paper-based laminates: full surface laminated structures with possible tailor made see-through windows for an amazing shelf appeal. Paper striped materials are available, surface-printed on both paper and plastic.
Paper-based laminates offer many benefits, from creating a positive environmental image to the final consumer to enhancing organic product ranges. Moreover, paper-based laminates are a greener alternative, since we offer the possibility to laminate with recyclable, compostable or biobased plastics and the use of water-based inks and glues for an ecological high quality printing.
We strictly use certified PEFC and FSC natural paper, assuring traceability and environmental compatibility.
A plastic-free solution for your flexible packaging: sealable paper as a primary packaging can have a wide range of applications. It is suitable for direct contact with food, with applications for dry products such as potatoes, vegetables, fruit, instant powders, confectionary, pasta, coffee, tea, nuts, chocolates.
Paper has a positive image concerning sustainability and it can replace non-recyclable laminates.
Our sealable paper can have heat-seal coating partial or allover, fin-seal or lap-seal, different barrier properties depending on need and, of course, printing with water-based inks.
